Anglo Saxon
The Angle, Saxon, and Jute tribes who invaded Britain in the 5th and 6th centuries are known as the Anglo-Saxons. They left their homelands in northern Germany, Denmark and northern Holland for britain, some say it is because their land was not good for crops, others say that saxon warriors were invited to england. They never conquered Wales, Scotland or Cornwall and by around AD 600 there were only five main kingdoms which were Northumbria, Mercia, East Anglia, Wessex and Kent.
